This is exactly how you become a soccer referee in San Francisco (it's easier than you might think).
Just follow our 4 Step Process 👇
Step 1: Register with US Soccer (5-10 Minutes)
The first step to becoming a referee is setting up an account with US Soccer. Don't worry; it's a quick and easy process and takes just 5-10 minutes. Simply click the red "Sign Up" button in the top right corner of the US Soccer website to get started.
Step 2: Order Your Referee Uniform (Less than $70)
Next, you'll need to gear up with the right uniform. Our recommended starter kit has everything you actually need to start refereeing, and it's all available for less than $70. We've handpicked premium, affordable products that will last, so you can start your referee career on the right foot without overpaying. Plus get 20% OFF with Code: SFREFEREE
Step 3: Get Certified (4.5 Hours Online + 1-Day In-Person Class)
Now it's time to get certified! Sign up for the US Soccer online certification class, which consists of two parts: a 4.5-hour online course and a 1-day in-person class. The total certification cost is just $65.
Step 4: Get Assigned (Updated 2024 Assignor List + Email Template)
Once you're certified, it's time to start getting assigned to games. Begin by reaching out to assignors in the areas where you'd like to work. Then send them an email stating your interest and your availability to work. We've put together an email template you can use to contact them.
